Well, Carol and I finally got around to making a blog. It must be all that free time we have in the summer. This is one of the great perks about being a teacher, for sure. Oh wait a minute, we have 5 kids between us. (: We just work on this stuff late at night or when our husbands have the kids. How do all of you busy TPT Sellers and Bloggers make the time to do what you do? I wish I could find a way to exercise at the same time. They would be awesome!
Anyway, to kick off our new blog right, Carol and I would like to offer 1 free item each week over the next 5 weeks before we head back to school. We will be uploading them on our blog only, since the TPT site only allows 10 pages for free items. Our first one is Depth and Complexity Icon Questions for the thirty-five SRA Open Court 3rd Grade Decodable stories. These can be used during leveled reading group time/RTI time for close reads. At our school we have not completely gotten rid of Open Court. We are still trying to incorporate some of their selections with our themes for Common Core. We kept most of the informational text, which is the hardest for us to find. We hope someone will find this useful.
